ZitatAdam Cooper @adamcooperf1 The 2013 Goodwood Festival of Speed has been moved to July 12-14 to avoid a clash with the new German GP date
So Goodwood moved the date, this probably means there will be another GP on 19-21 July or not....
It just doesn't seem likely that another GP will surface. Bernie ruled out France and Austria and didn't mention Spain. So it seems like Turkey is the only candidate for the 20th GP. Maybe Olga would know the economic situation of the country well, since she is quite close. Does this country really have the money to pay Bernie ?
well h" title="hih" /> i dont know our neighbours situation that well...i know from a Turkish journo that the gov will not pay anything, so now its up to private funds...but it seems difficult... " title="dunno" />
Zitat von SonnyCan you be more specific about "private funds?"
hmm, basically some rich turkish organisation / any organisation, who believes the race is a medium to push their business forward. They pay the money to bernie and conduct the grandprix

they have to learn to run it with no government support in a way Brits do with Silverstone. Not an easy task.
Or the way the USA does. The track was built on private investor money. And yes: there is plenty of cash in Texas!
But Texas has a very interesting nuance to their government funding. The circuit can be award upwards of $30mil a year (mainly an incentive package) from state government funds that specifically pays on a basis for what the investment brings to a local community. For example: this same fund granted millions of dollars when Texas hosts other large sporting events (Super Bowl). The Super Bowl bought in massive revenues for the Dallas community. And F1 did the same for Austin. I believe the payment is made based off of the increased tax dollars that the local Community would pay to the state government, which are inflated due to the sporting event.
I´m planning to go to the Hungarian GP in 2013. Has anyone been there in 2012? I want to know which ticket categories you had and if there is a public transport to the circuit?
