Alonso complains about not being praised enough by everybody
Luca diMontezemolo comes to the rescue and licks his ass (excuse my French)
Kimi's practice gearbox fails and misses yet another free practice and almost gets runned over.
And then when the track is at it's best Ferrari puts the super softs to Alonso so he can show off and it works because Hamilton isn't able to finish his flying lap...
This are the latest of the most incredible good luck/bad luck situations I've ever seen.
It's actually a never-ending nightmare. Please someone wake me up!
i found this interesting...probably from last year's race
quote"Monaco is a Silly Event- James Hunt
Kimi Raikkonen's is wearing a 'James Hunt' helmet this weekend as a tribute to his hero. Kimi seldom speaks but James certainly did. Here's what the late champion said about the Monaco Grand Prix...
"Monaco is a silly event, not a proper Grand Prix at all. It ceased to be a real race many years ago when wide tyres and wings came to be used on Formula 1 cars, making them entirely unsuitable for the absurdly confined spaces in the streets of Monte Carlo. It is loathed by everybody who works in the business, starting with the drivers for whom it is an absolute nightmare (with the possible exception of the man who wins!).
"The Monaco Grand Prix is really just an exhibition in which the unfortunate drivers are asked to perform and it still exists only for the benefit of the sponsors who want to show off in the 'glamorous' atmosphere and for the people who want to preserve the 'image' of Formula 1. They should have a parade instead. Then all the cars could parade around like the idiotic 'jetset' poseurs who are thicker on the ground at Monaco than anywhere else in the world."
- from the James Hunt biography by Gerald Donaldson
Hmm...MTv3 asked from Marco Mattiacci why Kimis car seems to have more problems than on the other side of the garage. Mattiacci attacked on the question but Toni Vilander said"maybe they should start to look who is taking care of Kimis car and how?".
I really think they should be starting to worry about Kimi's team and not only his driving style. The only time Alonso has had any problems with his car, it was fixed in no-time and when he's in need of a clever stategy, he sure gets it.
And since there's no real chance of many overtaking here and a 1 pit stop is predicted, strategy is very important here.
