Yeah that is somewhat disrespectful.

We are in a strange situation right now, Kimi won the first race unexpectedly. That builds up a bit of hype, but many people still thought that other teams like Red Bulll and Ferrari might do better. Everything does tend to happen very fast in these first races, there isn't time to change much or to think about much. Now we were at the sessions for the next race and Kimi is again doing well after everyone at first expected Red Bull and Ferrari to do better. So the hype builds up more, and it is not even necessarily Kimi fans who are building up the hype. People only need to see a hint of a pattern sometimes and they start getting ahead of themselves.

We as fans always hope for this situation, but in truth there has only been one race many things could still not work out. Lotus still hasn't done any long runs, and Malaysia is always a tricky place with all of the rain. You can so easily be a lap to early or a lap to late on wrong tyres in the rain. It is very unpredictable. As odds and averages goes Kimi will at some point be out done by Grosjean, it is inevitable. When it happens the usually complaints or critique will come out against Kimi, but it is always the bigger picture that really matters, Kimi just has to do well on a consistent basis, you cant always come out on top or win everything.

Some people just cant take it when the so called "normal" running order is disrupted. Red Bull also gets a lot of stick, but people are used to Red Bull at the top by now. People have been hoping for someone to out perform Red Bull for a long time now, but the hope has always been that Ferarri or Mclaren will come out on top. So Lotus are stealing their thunder at moment. It is pretty amusing.

I knew Lotus would screwed over by the rain in some way, two weekends already interrupted by rain. I just want to see the true pace of the car in qualifying. If it rains again tomorrow (which is highly likely) then Lotus will struggle to make the points.

What do we say about today?
It was a disappointing qualifying session for us. Rather like in Melbourne, we haven’t placed our cars in the sort of positions our dry pace merits. Like last time, rain disturbed qualifying and we’re not as effective in the wet as we are in the dry. That was qualifying; the race is tomorrow and we have potential for both drivers to put in strong performances.

What weather considerations are there for tomorrow?
Unfortunately, it looks like the weather could be much like today, with further wet conditions. This sort of variable weather is what we frequently see in Malaysia and it’s likely to be a stern test of driver and team, in that it’s very difficult to make the correct strategy choice as the conditions develop. We haven’t shone yet in the wet, but the higher fuel loads we will use tomorrow may make it easier for us to build heat in the intermediate tyre.

How are we placed if it stays dry?
We are looking good on dry pace, especially on heavy fuel loads, so if someone could devise and deploy an effective anti-rain dance we’d be well-placed for a good result. A common Malaysia scenario is a dry track followed by extreme rain, followed by a safety car and it’s in these conditions that bold decisions can bring big rewards. The trick is making the correct bold decision.
