So how does everyone feel about Sebbie's "mistake?" Was he wrong to pass? Wrong to apologize? Can him and Webbo co-exist as teammates?
I personally think there is a dramatic over reaction to what occurred. Did seb break team policy/team orders? Yes. But anyone calling for a suspension is more emotional than a race driver on the limit with a race victory in sight. What occurred was against team policy. But I personally don't feel it would detract from a WDC, if vettel were to be successful.
Vettel has won the prior 3 WDC's and is signed for a long term contract with red bull. Meanwhile, his team mate is arguably in the late stages and/or past his prime and signs one year deals with the team. Why doesn't red bull implement clear roles within the team? Isn't it obvious that seb is their golden boy and preferred #1 pilot? And the most likely to deliver a WDC in a capable car.
I have more thoughts. But please feel free to share yours..
He ignore a team order, but I think, it was wrong to apologize. He wants to become WDC for another time, for this he need so many point he can have. I dont understand the teamorder, but maybe they were in sorrow because the wheels. " title="dunno" /> And Mark is no angel for sure.... Much " title="sissy" /> in the next time, this wont help for the next WDC....
My opinion about this is, there has been alots of issues between the two earlier and the team, meaning Horner havent properly dealed with it. Mark had every right to get angry as Seb has been having every right to get angry before. But why? Because the team management havent said clearly who is number one in a time when team orders are allowed. Then they use very blurry messages to their drivers, even if they had been agreeing about them before the race. Drivers dont know what do they mean, as they send Vettel messages like this"be patient" as he is asking taking Mark out of the way. Meaning he just have to wait, you will have your chance. Seb thinks he has right to race. It was tho at the half way of the race but it showed Vettel thinks Mark is number two. What can you expect then, if two drivers with their own beliefs are driving for the same team? Vettel did wrong, but Mark did it at Silverstone. They are sort of revenging each others because team gives blurry signals. Vettel gets another promises and Mark another promises. I would say: let them race!
Apple, you are right. Let them race. I don't like team orders but I accept that they are necessary in some cases. Maybe in the later phases of the season when one of the drivers is clearly behind. I think it was too early during the 2nd race. That's why I felt sorry for Nico, he was clearly faster. Seb asked for theam order when he wanted Webber out of his way. He didn't get it so he went for it. When he got the message (Multi 21) and he didn't like it he ignored it. He was racing against someone who thought that the race was over...
i agree, just let them race!!!! but seeing Newey's face at a video at the moment of Seb's pass, i think they were really afraid of damaged tyres and game lost for both cars... " title="dunno" />
they have both ignored team orders, but in this case i think that Seb took over Webber while the latter had engine turned down, so perhaps he could not defend his position the proper way? i dont know...if this is the case i dont like it. but then who else is as "clean" as Kimi?
anyway, i dont mind rbr having some problems of any type, their car superiority made things a bit boring....type of Ferrari/Schumi times " title="roll" />
Their pace looks almost exactly the same. Also Webber just came out of the pit when Vettel catched up and they started fighting, do you think Webber would'd turned down the engine at that point? We often see drivers fight their harest when they came out of the pit or when they saw somebody coming out of the pit, to think any racing driver would turn down the engine when they exit the pit is absurd. If the team order was to hold position after the final pitstop then I guess the positions they wanted to hold were not yet settled then.
Also to hold position with 15 laps to go? com'n RB ... you're so full of bull craps
