I would rather see Kimi win in Lotus. Is not the same to win in a Lotus than to win in a Red Bull. It does more favors to your reputation. There's not much talk about teammates rivalry because right now Kimi's teammate is almost non existant. A more relaxed work environment a team building everything around you and cool black uniforms (Kimi's favorite color).
And didn't that new investor said they will be on top in a years time? I believe him...
At first thought, Red Bull alongside his friend Vettel seems the obvious choice, but not if you give it a second thought.
And if Kimi stays in Lotus It wouldn't be because he's a "wimp" like Lauda suggested (he has the biggest balls I've ever s... wait a minute, I actually haven't "seen" them, but you know what I mean. Showing yourself infront of the world's media with that crazy haircut gives you an idea of how big his balls are ) " title="ha" />

If I may ask: win what? If you want Kimi to win a race or two, then Lotus may be a good team for him. But if you want to Kimi to win a WDC: what makes you think Lotus has the capability? They're probably the fourth best team on the grid right now (behind RBR, Mercedes and arguably Ferrari). And we know they don't have the finances to develop like the three teams I just mentioned..
The work environment and uniforms are all well and good. But is that what Kimi states he came back for? Look at what Steve Robertson said about Kimi's "motivation." And what Kimi continually says if he doesn't win a race. He's back in F1 to win. The work environment and uniforms were a "honeymoon" phase as he came back into F1. That phase is over. And you can see how frustrated Kimi was when valuable points were thrown away. The last three races really reflect why Lotus is on a step below the three top teams. From lack of qualifying pace, to poor setup with lack of running and poor grip in the wet, to poor pit stop management (on 2 occasions). When is this going to improve?
If Kimi stays in Lotus, it's because he really DOES cherish the work environment. And maybe he didn't come back to F1 for one more crack at a WDC. No one expected the level of performance from the 2012 Lotus car. And yes, we had high hopes and aspirations for 2013.. But they still don't have the performance to fight Vettel. And Merc looks to be taking their game to another level as well. If Kimi is serious about a WDC, the evidence is pretty strong that he would have as strong a chance at Red Bull as any other team. Love them or hate them, Red Bull is putting on a clinic similar to the Ferrari team in the early 2000's. And they have the budget, the best aerodynamicist and an extremely impressive resume. Personally, I think Kimi should re-unite with Newey. He arguably should have won 1, if not 2 WDC's during their tenure together at McLaren. Wouldn't it be sweet to see the two reunited and Kimi have a real chance at another WDC before he retires?
By "win" I meant a Championship. And yes I'm aware that Kimi has best chances of that in RB. Not guaranteed though, but still better chances. The 2014 changes makes it extremely difficult to predict who will do better, so you pick the team who is most likely. But as some may say Webber don't get second driver treatment, I'm not so sure about RB giving Kimi a first driver treatment either. Not that Kimi ever got it anywhere anyway, but you know what I'm worried about. Plus he'll take some time to adapt to the team, the car and vice-versa. And as you have seen in McLaren years, having Adrian N. doesn't always mean a certain win either. Lotus is trying hard to get all the financial aid they could get and even may land a big car manufacturer as a name sponsor (or as a motor supplier at least). Also Kimi said that there were some small things in his contract that may seem stupid to some but that have to be there in order for him to feel comfortable. But I know what you mean also... is like what Denorth said: it all won't make the 10 guys behind the screens any smarter.
So in the end is like Sören said: Kimi knows what his doing, so we're glad is him and not us making the decision. And if Kimi does goes to RB, I will be happy to support him as always. And hoping for the best. He is after all, like a match made in heaven for the RB type of athlete.
i feel just like W. i know rbr is a dream team, i admire Newey, but Kimi is so different than the extrovert and outgoing Seb...i dont know how well rbr would take Kimi. this is my main reservation. i like lotus but i know their weaknesses too. So, i too, rely on Kimi to decide what is best for him. I'll support him always because i feel that he ( along with Alonso h" title="hih" /> ) is the best driver and of course the most honest character!!!!!

Did you just include Alonso in there as the most honest character? " title="huh" /> " title="" />
I got worried after reading this post from another Kimi fan " title="nails" />
ZitatIt's very tempting to go to Red Bull. Not only the car is fast, also the team works very well. They had fastest pit stops last race. If he feels like he can beat Vettel, he should go ahead and take the chance. Problem is that he hates politics and, with Marko there, Red Bull is a very political team, tilted towards Vettel. Red Bull is not so light in terms of PR either, since there are a lot of promotional events.
It's also a very dangerous move since the rules are changing drastically next year and there's no guarantee Red Bull will be the fastest car, although they do have the best pit crew and the technical staff is competent. If they get it wrong, Vettel might jump ship and take Newey with him (maybe not Horner), leaving Kimi facing the same situation as in 2009 with Ferrari, a team that completely lost power after the new regs. Newey not always reacts to rule changes in a good way, an example is 1994 when the Williams was only able to compete with the illegal Benetton car thanks to Senna's talent. That year, Senna did the same as Kimi, he moved to what was the best team after becoming tired of wasting time at McLaren, but the 1994 rules meant the tech gizmos from the super 1993 car were removed and the car was erratic at the beginning, which may have even caused his death.
I think you all forget one important thing... Kimi told he will only sign a contract which he likes and where every detail is according to what he wants and likes ... So if he signed it will be in kimis own terms....
I really hope he goes to rbr as i think lotus might never reach the top within kimi's best years... I do like lotus too but they are far from top in terms of car, designer,....
Yeah sorry for posting not much but i had the most hard period in terms of work i ever had Work, the building of the house and a pregnant woman... I can assure you it is not the best combo " title="ha" />
