Zitat von BoudicaI am glad Lotus issued an apology. I think they really encountered the wrath of the Kimi fans. They were getting a lot of negative publicity. I hope this curbs their future behavior and makes them treat Kimi fairly. They should be scared that if they do anything wrong to Kimi in the races the fans would be there. That would hopefully keep them in line until the end of the year.

If at least this comes out of all this mess, then I'm glad. It's really hard for me to look at it from the bright side.

ZitatLotus tries to reconcile with Räikkönen

On Monday Eric Boullier apologized for the radio messages betweeen the team and Kimi Räikkönen where nasty words were spoken on both sides. According to Bouillier it won't happen again.
Räikkönen and Alan Permane shouted at each other on the paddock after the race. Bouillier says that they will reconcile the situation before Abu Dhabi GP. They will try to mend the relationships next Thursday behind closed doors and the media will probably not be invited there.
Räikkönen's relationships with Lotus haven't been warm for some time. The wildest rumours already speculated that he wouldn't even drive the season to the end. However Räikkönen probably wants to earn the money his contract defines and drive in Abu Dhabi, USA and Brazil.
In nutshell Mika thinks Lotus was foolish, the whole situation should have been dealt better than it was.
Mika also says that he completely understands Kimi, that if he had let Grosjean past in fast corner like that, the tyres would have dropped even more (like what we saw in China 2012) and Kimi would have lost atleast 3-4 seconds more easily if he had done that
"Kimi thought like all experienced drivers think, if he had let Grosjean past in wrong place, others would have come flying pass as well, like Massa"
"Why was the language from the team so strong against Kimi and why the team didnt keep Kimi informed earlier how close Grosjean was? We should also ask why Grosjean tried to pass Kimi so greedily that their tires collided?"
Zitat von luvicemanYiNing for sharing that translation! that's the Flying Finns great great read
about rest of three races, I hope Kimi will race...cuz I remember YiNing and some others go to US GP, right? without championship, without Kimi, it doesn't sound fun...
Lotus will give Kimi old front wing for upcoming races in order to get rid of oversteering issue. if this is true, I worry if lotus make Kimi miserable by setting up car sucked and says Kimi can't go any faster... but if I trust Okari Saari's words, Kimi still has good relationship with other mechanics. so I hope Kimi's last races with Lotus will be brilliant races.

ZitatManager dumbstruck over the way Räikkönen was treated
F1 | Turun Sanomat 05:36 | 0
Steve Robertson sighed deeply on the phone even on Tuesday. You could hear his sigh from Dubai to Turku when he was asked how he felt about Alan Permane's public cursing in the team radio when drivers battled for positions in the overtaking situation.
– I have never heard any person from any team management shout at Kimi like that, Robertson wonders.
– Grosjean squeezed Kimi the same way three weeks earlier in Korea. Of course his tyres were now worn out, but Kimi always tries to fight for as long as his machinery allows him to do that, Robertson said.
Some reporter colleagues asked me after India if Räikkönen only drives for himself without listening to anyone.
I asked his manager the same question.
– Just like all top drivers Kimi drives firstly and mostly for himself - otherwise none of them would win championships. But of course Kimi can play for the team. If his teammate drives for the championship when he is out of it already, then he doesn't make his WDC-battle difficult.
– Grosjean is not driving for the WDC, so in that sistuation he was just like any other competitor to Kimi who threathens his position, Robertson told TS.
