I think it's time for a game, it's no use guessing the winner for each race, since it will be either Hamilton or Rosberg, but how about the rest?
How do you think it will be the order of the teams in the first 3 races? (meaning who will be better now, before all the big updates begin) And who do you think will be better by mid season?:
My guess (if you don't agree, please post yours and if you do, please say so too)
NOW 1. Mercedes 2. Williams 3. Ferrari 4. Red Bull 5. Toro Rosso
BY MID SEASON 1. Mercedes 2. Ferrari 3. Williams 4. Red Bull 5. McLaren
I could be completely wrong of course, maybe Sauber gets inside the top 5 teams, maybe even Lotus, who knows? But let's give it a shot and compare it to reality after the first 3 races. And then also after SPA and let's see how we did...
nice idea since this is going over the season I made a new topic for it so we can find it easily again. if you know a better title please tell
but do you mean actual standing in the championship so order by points or order by performance/speed of the cars?
I pretty much agree with you, I think it will be close between Williams, Ferrari and RB so the order there is hard to tell. But I think Lotus will be better. So my prediction:
NOW 1. Mercedes 2. Williams 3. Ferrari 4. Red Bull 5. Lotus
BY MID SEASON 1. Mercedes 2. Ferrari 3. Red Bull 4. Williams 5. Lotus
The Autosport specialists made their own 2015 predictions, not by team but by driver. But it's for Autosport+ subscribers. Could someone post their standings, so we can compare it to ours too? Thanks
1. Merc (obviously) 2. Williams 3. Red Bull 4. Ferrari 5. Force India
Mid-Season: 1. Merc 2. Ferrari 3. Red Bull 4. Williams 5. Force India
It's a real shame about the news of Ferrari having to tune their engine "conservatively" to start the season. I'm hoping they're able to use their tokens efficiently and really allow the car to shine. It sounds like this years car is a significant step forward. I just hope the engine is as well
quoteVerena @miezicat1 Ferrari denies romour:"That's not true. We drive with same specification as last Barcelona test so with same power. No reliability problems" 1:28pm - 11 Mar 15
I´m so bad in this because I´m all the time focused on Kimi So I will not guess.
But I hope from the bottom of my heart that Kimi has a great year And I hope all the boys stay fine and have no accidents/get not injured That with Jules and Nano scare me a lot

10th: ROMAIN GROSJEAN Top prediction: eighth (Marcus Simmons)
9th: FERNANDO ALONSO Top prediction: sixth (Matt Beer, Scott Mitchell)
8th: DANIIL KVYAT Top prediction: sixth (Ben Anderson, Marcus Simmons, Stuart Codling)
7th: KIMI RAIKKONEN Top prediction: third (Anthony Rowlinson) Dieter Rencken: On a good day the Finn is dynamite - but these are becoming scarce. Still, a strong Ferrari, quick team-mate and looming contract talks will ignite the spark.
Anthony Rowlinson: A James Allison-conceived Kimi-front-end-friendly Ferrari with (at last) a decent power unit is the reason why Raikkonen's been smiling, winter long. Don't expect a title; do expect grand prix wins.
Mitchell Adam: Will be keen to forget 2014 and make the most of a better power unit and friendlier front end. Won't quite get as much out of the package over the season as Vettel, though.
Glenn Freeman: It seems Raikkonen is going to have a better car than he had for his Ferrari return, so improving on last year's P12 shouldn't be difficult. Keeping up with Vettel might be a different story.
Scott Mitchell: Better Ferrari, happier Kimi. The 2007 world champion will be shaded by Vettel for most of the year, but the spark could - and should - return often enough for Raikkonen's results to better reflect his incredible talent.
Edd Straw: Pre-season suggests Raikkonen will be back on consistent and heavy points-scoring form. But that has to be tempered with the memories of 2014. If he's happy with the car, could do better; if not, could do worse.
6th: FELIPE MASSA Top prediction: fifth (Stuart Codling)
5th: SEBASTIAN VETTEL Top prediction: third (Glenn Freeman, Mitchell Adam, Scott Mitchell, Marcus Simmons)
4th: DANIEL RICCIARDO Top prediction: second (Matt Beer)
3rd: VALTTERI BOTTAS Top prediction: third (Edd Straw, Dieter Rencken, Stuart Codling)
2nd: NICO ROSBERG Top prediction: champion (Dieter Rencken, Scott Mitchell)
1st: LEWIS HAMILTON Top prediction: champion (Edd Straw, Glenn Freeman, Anthony Rowlinson, Matt Beer, Marcus Simmons, Ben Anderson, Lawrence Barretto, Stuart Codling, Mitchell Adam)
so from that the team ranking would probably be: Mercedes Williams Red Bull Ferrari McLaren
