I've been trying to find this info.. It sounds like Pirelli brought the Medium and Hard tyre to Barcelona last year. I have confirmed the Hard tyre was the prime tyre. Does anyone know this info?
I'm just trying to get a comparison of Kimi's time to last years pole lap.
Anyways, let's try to put into perspective Kimi's time of 1:25.167. He was using the medium tyre.
When compared to last year's qualifying times: Pole: Hamilton 1:25.232 Raikkonen 1:27.104 Alonso 1:27.140
That's a pretty impressive improvement for Ferrari..
Sounds again good Result from today. Can please someone tell me, why Wolff is driving the car? Okay, we don´t know what they are testing. But she is slow Nothing against woman driving an F1 car! But sometimes I have a the feeling, somebody is paying a lot of money to Williams for the hobby of his woman.
February 19, 2015 Kimi Raikkonen is not getting carried away with another encouraging day of testing for Ferrari but says it is clear the team has produced "a very nice car".
After topping three out of the four days of testing in Jerez, Ferrari looked strong again in Barcelona, with Raikkonen finishing second and accumulating 74 laps. His headline time, set on the medium compound, was just 0.156s off Pastor Maldonado's soft-tyre benchmark.
Ferrari comes into 2015 on the back of its first winless campaign since 1993 and has been cautious about misguided optimism so far this winter. Raikkonen continued that trend after day one in Barcelona but says he has plenty of reasons to be happy with the SF15-T.
"It's not that different from Jerez, we don't know about the fuel other cars had, and some of them were on soft tyres," Raikkonen said. "We keep doing our stuff, have made our plan and try to follow it. The car is a completely different story from last year's, we've still got a long way ahead of us but the team is working well and has produced a very nice car".
Raikkonen will be back in the car on Friday before Sebastian Vettel takes over for the final two days of the test at the weekend.

That does seem impressive. But it does make you worry about how fast Mercedes will be this year.
I actually forgot that testing started yesterday.
Kimi actually looks hapy in the pictures! Hmmm I hope that is a good sign.
Info from TS. Kimi was testing different electronic solutions in the morning but in the afternoon they focused on car performance. Specially the last ten laps stint with used mediums confirmed to engineers they have taken steps ahead. Kimi was asked about team spirit and sackings they have had he answered they had to be done. Now the spirit is good and people are cheerfull. Papers want to know a lot about Kimis baby but he havent said a word. The working relationship with the new race engineer is good as he is experienced and speaks the same " language" with Kimi.
