Zitat von Boudica Unfortunately, Kimi's future in F1 looks pretty bleak to me.
I hate to say it but I agree with everything in your post. If he had a chance, I wish he would've gone to Mclaren. BUT, I also didn't think he'll come back to F1, I was afraid he'll be as slow as Schumacher was in his first year back (and you can be sure that Boullier would not support him as mush as Ross did Schumi), I thought that Lotus would have a problem finishing in the points... so I was wrong many times and I really hope I'm wrong again.
Zitat von Ragingjamaican I'm quite disappointed, I thought both Force India drivers deserve a top drive. They've had the same amount of races as Perez, yet I would class them as maturer and cool headed, yeah they've not had the results, but they've not had the car like Perez either.
Perez had s a couple of those really special races, even his first race in Australia (I think it was in Australia) was a bit special where he showed that he can be really fast and look after the tyres at the same time (I think he finished the race with only one stop). On the other hand he's a bit inconsistent IMO. Maybe some of that inconsistency is down to the car but he won't have that problem next year and we'll see how good he is. Force India drivers are much more consistent but they haven't shown to be something really special. Or probably they haven't had a car that would allow them to have that special race that would put them on a top teams' wish list.
To me the Hamilton/Button pairing is stronger than Perez/Button. I'm not a fan of Lewis but he's an incredibly fast driver. I'm not sure Perez will ever be as good as him but I also never thought that he'll be as good as he has been this year, so what do I know. " title="dunno" /> Does Perez come with any money? Sauber will need a good pay driver now that Perez left.
I have mixed feelings... " title="shake" /> Could there be a seat in a big team for 2014 assuming that Kimi wants to stay in F1? RedBull? " title="shake" />
What is interesting is that why wasn't Perez good enough for Ferrari but is good enough for Mclaren? Massa had some very bad seasons so it's hard to imagine Perez being worse than him. I would like to know who blocked that move. In the end the winner is Perez, he'll have a much better chance to win a WDC at Mclaren than at Ferrari where he would be the No.2 driver.

yes, up to now Perez is a winner! I bet the boy will be on seventh heaven!!
There's the factor of Vettel coming in to Ferrari for 2014, and with the current driver line up, it looks as if that rumour is true.
If Perez succeeded at Ferrari, Ferrari would have had a problem as Vettel would be in next year and Alonso tied to them for 2016. They can't see him fail either as he's one of their own.
I hate to say it, but the way the Ferrari team is around Alonso, I don't see Vettel having much of a chance, bit of a mad man really. Plus if Alonso beats him, he will probably be hailed as "the greatest ever", ever since 2008 every seems to be in an Alonso craze.

What happened in 2008? but Vettel like hamilton needs to try out different stuff
Don't know, but that's where all the Alonso love-in started, it got worse steadily, then now it went boom in 2010 and its getting stronger " title="dunno" />

Yeah that makes sense too but what if Perez would succeed at Ferrari, would that be so bad for them? They would have Alonso (top driver, no doubt) and they would get another top driver in Perez who could take over from Alonso. I don't see how that could be bad for Ferrari. Bad for Alonso or bad for Perez (if he wouldn't be that good and would be pushed into a No.2 driver role) but how would that be bad for Ferrari?
Any why is Vettel in the same team with Alonso better for them than Perez? Vettel will cost them much more money and take points away from Alonso because I really don't think Alonso will have it easy with Vettel. Vettel is smart and he'll make sure that he gets the same support as Alonso.
I'm pretty convinced that our boy is a smart guy...
He knows what's happening inside the team... I wouldn't be surprised to hear that Lotus will have major new sponsoring within 2013 and please don't forget people at Enstone knows damn good how to built a WDC or WCC car no doubt about that...
My feeling is that Kimi knows his chances at lotus are as high as in mclaren and without the pressure of media things etc... Kimi acts far better when he feels good... I think Lotus going to be a force reckoned with for the next years...
I think they'll be able to fight even more for WDC next year as the car will be Kimi's style produced...
And he's loved within lotus no matter what EB might try with Grosjean, the big boss is the one who really wanted Kimi and is the one who decides at the end what's happening within the team...
Coca Cola Lotus F1 Team is coming h" title="hih" />

Which good and experienced driver would like to be slaving for FA? " title="dunno" />
