ZitatQ: What role does Kimi Raikkonen play in your considerations? Surely you could swap him and he would immediately deliver… SD: Kimi is a very fast driver and everybody knows how I rate him. But if I make a comment now it will be taken as a direct answer. As I said, there is no rush and we will make the right decision in the right moment.
Zitat von Olgaby the way....what is the Lmoose doing this season?
Rage baby???????
I'm afraid he lost out against the man who stabs people with champagne glasses at nightclubs for a race seat.
After that, I highly doubt he's coming back into F1 again, wasn't even considered for replacing Webber, what the hell's his job as a third driver?!
The grid feels a little more empty without
his job is to drive in the simulator. I don't remember which race but it was beginning of the season and after that Marko told that they were struggeling on Friday so they sent Buemi in the simulator and he drove 3 GP distances " title="blink" /> and with this data they improved the car. I wonder if that's usual like that, also in other teams? " title="dunno" />

Yeah but it's not exactly if he's getting time in the actual car is he?
ZitatRicciardo does not fit in 2014 Red Bull cockpit and other silly season stories
29 August, 2013 Mate, this thing’s too tight….
Even before his 2014 seat has been confirmed, Daniel Ricciardo’s Red Bull career may already have hit it’s first hurdle.
According to Speed Week, and Italy’s authoritative Autosprint, report that the Australian has been at Milton-Keynes for a seat-fitting in the 2014-spec RB10.
Designer Adrian Newey is known for his tight-fitting cockpits, and the packaging is reportedly even more problematic for 2014 given the new turbo V6 and ‘ERS’ regulations.
And while Ricciardo is slightly shorter than his Australian compatriot Mark Webber, the European media reports reveal that his hips are slightly wider than Webber and world champion Sebastian Vettel’s.
Meanwhile, Formula 1 legend Niki Lauda sees another problem with Red Bull’s apparent decision to sign Ricciardo. Daniel Ricciardo watches over Sebstian Vettel and Mark Webber

“Out of the new generation, Ricciardo is the driver with the most potential,” the Mercedes chairman said in an interview with Bild newspaper.
“But at the moment no one knows if that potential is really enough. So it’s a risk,” said Lauda.
Another Formula 1 grandee considering taking a risk for 2014 is Ferrari. According to recent reports, talks with Nico Hulkenberg about replacing Felipe Massa are underway.
“Hulkenberg is not bad,” said Lauda, “but I think he needs another year. And Ferrari doesn’t have time to waste.”
The great Austrian said that if he was in charge at Ferrari, he would sign Kimi Raikkonen.
“He would give the team a boost, just as Lewis Hamilton has done at Mercedes,” said Lauda. Kimi Raikkonen and Fernando Alonso

“At Ferrari, Luca di Montezemolo decides alone. Alonso would certainly not like it (Raikkonen as his teammate), but Ferrari does have a problem: if the car is not good, Alonso complains all day.
“If I was Montezemolo, I would pick Kimi,” he added.
Finally, Lauda said the fact Nico Rosberg has been able to keep up with Mercedes’ new recruit Hamilton in 2013 was a surprise.
Asked if Hamilton’s 2013 title bid has been a surprise, Lauda answered: “No, as I knew that he would give the team a boost.
“What has surprised me is that Nico has been at eye-level. Nico has had more bad luck, but as far as the speed, they’re both the same,” he added. (GMM)
this is wooooooowwwww... Kimi to ferrari is for sure it seems " title="ha" />

Ferrari is misleading the media on the driver-front
29.8.2013 - 00:34:38
Many rumours have surrounded Ferrari during last weeks and many parties think that Kimi Räikkönen's arrival to the team is certain. The team's management has replied to the inquiries by stating that Fernando Alonso will continue according to his contract and they also want to keep Felipe Massa in the team. Ferrari is deliberately misleading the media with these comments.
In reality Ferrari decided already in June that the cooperation with Massa would not continue. His results simply aren't good enough. Massa knows the situation and he is motivated to achieve good enough results in the endseason so that he could continue in F1 next year in another team. Massa is a candidate for at least Sauber.
In Fernando Alonso's case they have noticed last weeks that Ferrari-management's syrupy comments about his excellence start to be in history already. Luca di Montezemolo stated in a straighforward tone about Alonso's behaviour that critisizing Ferrari in public is not allowed. Due to the poor success Alonso has apparently got enough and the last straw was Ferrari's decision to hire Kimi Räikkönen to the team. Räikkönen's arrival to Ferrari means automatically that Alonso's status #1 ends.
Stefano Domenicali commented on the Räikkös-rumour mysteriously.
- Kimi is a really fast driver and everybody knows how highly I appreciate his talent. But it would be understood as a straight reply if I would comment more on him. We are in no hurry to make our decision. We will do it when the time is right, Domenicali said on the official Formula One -website.
Domenicali claimed in the interview that the choice concerns Massa or his replacement. In reality Ferrari is waiting for Fernando Alonso's decision. If Alonso decides to continue in Ferrari, then Räikkönen's contract will be announced pretty soon. If Alonso leaves Ferrari, then Ferrari will hire a new driver who probably will be Nico Hülkenberg. The negotiations take time and it may be that we hear the announcements in October. Before that we can expect all kinds of rumours and Ferrari's opposite assurances.
I actually don't expect anything to be announced at Monza. Ferrari said they wanted to evaluate Massa for a few races and Red Bull seem in no hurry to announce their (very likely Ricciardo) driver.
