Vettel and Webber in answering their questions gave clues to it being Ricciardo, then there's also news that he's been for a seat fitting aswell for next year.
Zitat von YiNingI agree he got nothing to lose, I'm sure he's up for the challenge My first choice would be RB... but if he only had choices between Lotus and Ferrari then I prefer he goes to Ferrari and have a good fight.
I always believe the reason they payed him off not to drive in 2010 was because they couldn't fire Massa due to his injury.
If Massa didn't suffer from his injury then I think the decision for Ferrari still would have been hard since both were closely matched, yeah Raikkonen wasn't lucky with his results early on, but Massa had a few unlucky moments too.
I still think they would have chose Massa, as I haven't seen or heard anything about Alonso replacing Massa back then.
Zitat von icemaidEvery team wants Kimi but no one wants to sign him......yet.
Kimi is in a peculiar situation. He has actually done to well since his return, to well for a place at teams like Red Bull and Ferrari, when they already have their number one lead drivers. It would be a high risk for these teams to hire a driver that might also get very good results, and with all of the uncertainties next season they dont need to add to their potential problems.
Only Mclaren and Lotus really needs Kimi. And it seems like Mclaren might be to attached to Button.
Someone read the tweet from carlo vanzine from cnn or sky... Kimi is back to ferrari! I have respect for everyone but like I said it is kimi in red once again
For these who fear ferrari: do you really think kimi is so stupid and dumb to sign a contract which is not to his likings? And we dont know the real story of 2009, kimi alreadyvsaid it is different from what is written. I believe dom really wanted kimi, and he finally convinced ldm too because ldm and alonso seems to be in a big fight. James Allison will be there too, and i am pretty sure he will take slade with him this time too.
Do some people realise how good this is for kimi's name and fame? The reds never took someone back, everyone will be very surprised and by this move!!! It is z huge thing for kimis career and imagen how alonso will feel? His confidence will be much lower... And tbh this move also shows me that the team is not 100 percent behind alonso anymore.
No way that back in 2010 or 2011 ferrari would have accepted a driver near alonso as good as kimi.
Zitat EXCLUSIVE: RED BULL TO REOPEN NEGOTIATIONS WITH RAIKKONEN
According to our sources, Red Bull have contacted Raikkonen’s management. Dietrich Mateschitz wants to reopen negotiations next week in a last attempt to secure the world champion for 2014.
Daniel Ricciardo was initially Red Bull’s choice, with team adviser Helmut Marko pushing to promote the Australian from Toro Rosso and eventually convincing Mateschitz to hire him.
After weeks of silence from Red Bull, Raikkonen held talks with Ferrari and various reports surfaced about the Finn’s return to Maranello. The reports talked about a two-year deal with a one year option.
German newspaper Bild reported that Dietrich Mateschitz was not comfortable with Ferrari securing two world champions [Alonso and Raikkonen], while his team would have Sebastian Vettel and rookie Daniel Ricciardo. The founder of Red Bull stressed on the key importance of WCC points, something which Raikkonen would certainly deliver strongly.
Our sources close to Red Bull suggest that on Friday morning the team contacted Raikkonen’s management and have scheduled a meeting to resume negotiations.
If reports about Raikkonen’s deal with Ferrari are correct, Red Bull’s move may have come late and the Milton Keynes team would be forced to stick to their initial choice or attempt to lure Fernando Alonso from Ferrari.

No, I don't think Kimi is stupid so I don't believe he signed with Ferrari at all. h" title="hih" /> It's not only the past, forgetting that I still don't think it would be a good decision. But seriously do you then think the first time Kimi was stupid to sign a contract where they could screw him? You can't prevent this, you can write all kind of things in the contract but in the end it doesn't matter.
