Suprise, suprise Marca made news about Kimi allegedly being in danger of losing his seat because Mattiacci would have been irritated on the flight from Tokyo to Moscow. The paper clames Kimi was drunk and drinking heavily during the flight, disturbing other passengers . The team didnt think it was proper behaviour after what happened in Suzuka. Well...Oskari Saari was very suprised because he was on the same flight with Kimi who slept the whole flight. And it was from Nagoya to Moscow...

Yep,have seen the picture..but Kimi flew to Helsinki, not Moscow. Its easy to take a picture and claim he drank the whole time. There were a bunch of drivers drinking on private flight. Imagine if the picture had been taken of Kimi with the bottle of whisky in his hand.
it's even easier to take a picture with a glass without saying much and most of 'fans' will assume it was an alcohol and start moaning on twitter etc...

It is a shame for Jenson, he has done a good job for Mclaren, but at the same time you can see why Mclaren would want to go for the younger driver. I hope Jenson gets a drive somewhere else.

I think his F1 career is over if it's not McLaren. The top 4 teams would be filled. And the mid-pack teams are quite a way off the pace. It just wouldn't make sense got him to drive around in the midfield.
I read a very similar article on autosport and it doesn't draw the conclusion that button is out of a seat. It merely states that the decision won't be made until the end of the season...
Thats probably a kick in the ass given to Marchionne :p
Im not sure whats gonna happen at McLaren, Button is a ''proven'' world champion and a very nice bloke, but it feels like he drove much better when he was paired with Hamilton giving Hamilton a serious run for his money. Today he's struggling with drivers like Perez and Magnussen. It seems like he's lost that little extra that wdc drivers use to have. Maybe its just the car, but Seb and Kimi started to struggle with this years cars and Jenson struggled long before that.
''In F1 tyre changes were 5 seconds of rest, in rally it is 10 minutes of hard work'' - Kimi Räikkönen
Struggling against magnussen? Look at the points and number (or ratio) of times Jenson has finished ahead of kevin. The only claim to fame magnussen has is quali. But Jenson has never been a strong qualifier, not even against Lewis. I reckon he's driving as strong as ever.
I don't know all the details of the situation that has led to Fernando Alonso apparently leaving Ferrari and Sebastian Vettel apparently joining - it all still needs to be officially confirmed - but if I believe the intelligence that has been gathered then it does look as if Fernando has been out-manoeuvred.
He has been released from one contract without having another in place, and that does have implications for his negotiations, however badly McLaren want him.
What will happen to Alonso? Will he take a year out? Race a year in sportscars? Drive for McLaren? All while he has his eyes firmly fixed on a Mercedes seat in 2016, which doesn't look like it's available.
In Hamilton's BBC interview after the race, he talked about going through cycles in life. He had a several-year cycle at McLaren and now he wants to go through the same sort of cycle at Mercedes.
There is nothing right now to suggest that is not completely sincere. And once the championship is settled, I would expect in fairly short order afterwards an announcement about his future at Mercedes.
So with Rosberg already signed until at least the end of 2016, there does not seem to be a fit for Alonso anywhere other than McLaren-Honda.
I've seen Alonso's comments about there being an announcement soon and that when it happens it will be "obvious" that his mind has been set for some time.
But from controlling the market, he appears now to be left with a choice between McLaren and a year out, and it seems that while there is a calm Spanish swan above the water, below the surface there is a lot of flurry and activity to sort his future out.
Alonso is into Far Eastern philosophy, particularly the samurai warrior Miyamoto Musashi's Book of Five Rings.
But clearly the chapter about how not to be left standing when the music stops wasn't in that book.
That's the only problem when you refer to a book written 500 years ago. Five centuries on, it doesn't always apply.

Heikki Kulta used his spare time in Socchi to ask opinions from fellow reporters about Vettel and Kimi, will Ferrari suffer from driver changes? there were Mark Hughes, Schmitt,Brundle,Noble ,Salo and Antonini. They all think this is good for Ferrari, for its climate and they believe Kimi and Vettel will be able to work together. Mika Salo says Kimi and Alonso couldnt work at all together for the car. Schmitt thinks Ferrari doesnt suffer as long as the car is good and not too difficult to drive as he thinks only Alonso can take the difficult car to higher places. Antonini gives a hint to Alonsos negotiations saying he knows that much that Fernando felt he was isolated as Vettel is very skillfull negotiator and Mattiacci was impressed by his simple terms. They all say Alonso is very good on track but he tends to develop the car only for himself and to direction he needs and forgets the teams goals by side of it. Also Noble says Alonso felt he is bigger than team and Mattiacci had a vision of the team being only for racing not politics.
